Highland Elite Sports Academy

Elite Sports performance coaching for competitive youth athletes in the Highlands of Scotland.
Home

Highland Elite Sports Academy (HESA) was founded in 2017 by Amanda Croall, a highly accomplished coach with more than 25 years of international experience across the UK, USA, and Dubai. A graduate of Edinburgh University with a BEd (Hons) in Physical Education, Amanda brings a wealth of expertise as a former athlete, PE teacher, professionally qualified coach, instructor, and Master Trainer. Her vision, passion, and commitment to inspiring Highland athletes to unlock their full potential led to the creation of HESA.

At HESA, we deliver sports performance programs designed to give young athletes in the Highlands access to elite-level coaching. Our mission is to provide every youth athlete with the tools, guidance, and opportunities to elevate their performance to the highest level, whether that means excelling at club, regional, national, or even international competition.

Our professional coaching team specialises in all fundamental components of athletic performance, including speed, agility, quickness, reaction time, acceleration, deceleration, stability, cardiovascular and muscular endurance, and flexibility. All essential elements of performance training for athletes in every sport.

What makes HESA unique is our holistic approach. We develop the whole athlete, both physically and mentally, ensuring they build the strength, resilience, and mindset needed to excel not just in sport, but in life. While competition and winning are integral to athletic development, we place equal importance on respect, sportsmanship, and attitude, which form the foundation of our positive and empowering HESA ethos.

“BE YOUR BEST SELF” – DREAM – BELIEVE – GIVE EVERYTHING – ACHIEVE.

Testimonials

“My daughter Olivia started Minis in Inverness around a year and a half ago. Since then, she really has excelled – not just in her sporting/endurance abilities but her confidence, determination and attitude. Every session is tailored differently and she is always leaving with the biggest smile on her little beetroot face!  I really can’t thank Amanda and the coaches enough; they really are passionate about every single athlete and help them strive to achieve their full potential. I can’t wait until my little boy is old enough to attend – and neither can he!”

Excellent bunch of coaches, extremely professional and passionate who are great at keeping the kids motivated and bring out the best in them. Communication great with parents. Would highly recommend.”

“My 12 yr old son attends Nairn Academy and has been attending HESA for a number of years now including the fantastic holiday camps during school holidays. The training is fantastic with experienced and enthusiastic coaches who encourage each individual child which the kids enjoy and thrive on. His fitness and enjoyment of sport has improved significantly resulting in many sporting achievements at school and local and national athletics competitions over the last few years. I cannot recommend this club highly enough!”

“My daughter has been going to HESA since minis and absolutely loves it. We have seen a huge improvement with her fitness and running technique. She now enjoys team sports which she didn’t before as had no confidence. It has made her aware of her own levels and made her determined to reach the next one. We see her understanding why she needs to warm up and stretch and become more independent with her health and fitness. Whatever the weather she comes home buzzing. The coaches are very motivated and very clear with their delivery, Grace just thinks they are the greatest, and as a parent I’m delighted they’re her role models!! Her little sister is desperate to start minis when she turns 5!!!”
